Where it began: 
The love for animals, all animals, started at an early age thanks to my mom. She instilled in us kids, the care and compassion for our pets, that I hold so close to my heart today. 
As a young boy growing up in Shapleigh Maine we always had pets. We lived on a dead end road and back then it was not uncommon for litters of kittens, or even a dog to be dropped off (discarded) on the road. Our neighbors would always know who to call. That's right, my Mom! It was this compassion and care I witnessed that largely brought me to write this series. 

Jump forward many...many years :), and I have my own family who carries the same attitude towards our furry family as me. My wife Tammi continues to help support this journey, and is as excited as I am to continue the "Mumford Saves The World" Series. We believe that this series will help educate our readers, and their families about rescue dogs. This has been a dream come true to publish a book, and see it grow!
